homemade tomato sauce with russo ravioli

Servings: 4

Prep Time: 5 minutes 

Cook Time: 15 minutes 


¼  cup olive oil

**1 clove garlic, minced

**1 tbsp. Basil, chopped

**½ tbsp. Oregano, chopped

**1 lb. roma tomatoes, peeled and diced

¼ tsp. Sugar

Salt and pepper to taste

**1 package Russo Ravioli’s cheese ravioli

**¼ cup Ed Mar’s Banklick Cream cheese, shredded

Optional: There is local marinara from Daveed’s Catering and Culinary Kitchen if desired to use instead of making own if you are short on time.


  1. Heat oil in saucepan over low heat and add garlic. Sautee for 1-2 minutes.

  2. Add tomatoes, sugar, and herbs, and salt and pepper. Bring to a simmer over medium heat for about 10 minutes - stirring occasionally.

  3. Cook pasta according to directions.

  4. Put 4 ravioli in a dish and top with tomato sauce and cheese for garnish.
