THEIR STORY :
Hen Of The Woods is owned by husband and wife team Nick and Kimberly Marckwald. Having met at a restaurant in Fort Collins, Colorado they both worked at-and as their personal relationship bloomed-they had a shared vision of wanting to create a unique restaurant opportunity for themselves and future guests. As lovers and believers in seasonal cuisine that doesn't take itself too seriously-they moved to Cincinnati to start the foundations of their dream.
After a handful of years, and two kids later-they began doing 'Underground' dinners out of their East Walnut Hills home serving multi-course, wine paired, private events that quickly put them on the Cincinnati food map. Always knowing their brick and mortar had to match their style and personalities-they discovered 1432/1434 Main Street and immediately knew they'd found the spot.
